It’s the warm and fuzzy time of year! We wanted to take a moment to focus on all the niceness that surrounds us, our town, our boutique, and all the joy the we get to share in our little slice of paradise that is Crested Butte.
We are so lucky to get to know the people of Crested Butte as well as to get to meet the lovely folks who visit Crested Butte throughout the year. We get to share our favorite places, favorite views, and of course our favorite fashion finds! Whether it’s old friends stopping in or new faces strolling through, one of our favorite things to do is get to know YOU—our customers—not just throughout the year, but over the years (we are so excited to be celebrating Milky Way’s 25th year in Crested Butte)!

Speed Date-a-Book, Holiday Edition: December 5, 7:00 pm-9:00pm at Townie Books. 5 booksellers will be on hand to talk up as many of our best, gift-book ideas as we can in 5 minutes! Then we'll rotate and do it all over again until you've "dated" all of our books! Afterwards, we'll all be on hand for one-on-one shopping assistance. In addition, there will be a 10% discount for EVERYTHING in the entire store! Seating limited to 30 people. This event is free, but you must register on their Facebook page or by emailing towniebooksevents@gmail.com. Refreshments provided.
Light Up the Night Weekend: December 6, 7, and 8. Kick off the holidays with the Reindeer Scavenger Hunt, Window Display Contest, Butte Bucks, and the Mt. Crested Butte tree lighting. We will have our Reindeer, Comet, hiding in the store again and we hope we get your vote for the Window Display contest. And of course you can use your Butte Bucks at Milky Way!

25th Annual CB Holiday Bazaar: Saturday December 7th from 10 - 4. This year, the Bazaar is located at the CB Community School. More details at https://crestedbutteholidaybazaar.com/
Crested Butte Mountain Heritage Museum: Saturday December 14th—a screening of the 1977 thriller SNOWBEAST. SNOWBEAST was filmed in Crested Butte and the surrounding areas. It follows a young skier and his wife while visiting a ski resort during a man-beast attack, resulting in a hilariously great 70s thriller. Retro gear is strongly encouraged!
